hand in hand: new year and resolution(s)

New year, new resolutions. Or is it? Or is it just same old brand new resolutions? Bah! It's not like I care much really. I am, for one, is not big on resolutions. Because I know I don't have much discipline. Seriously.

But for 2011, I start it off with daily resolutions. I start small. Seriously small. My resolution on the 1st January? To have the famous IKEA meatballs. I did it. Useless resolution? Maybe. But at least I achieved it. What made it even better? I had it with people I know, people I adore. And the meatball kicked ass.

On the 2nd of January, I made a resolution to clean my room until my mom won't have anything to complain about. I changed the bed-sheet, folded/hung all my clothes, vacuumed the floor, wiped the dust... the whole nine yard. And guess what? I did it. Resolution 2nd January was a success. It took some time for me to get it done but I did it. And damn right, I am happy and proud of it. Even when my sister got on my prettily made up bed, I went bonkers.

Oh. And sorry, I don't have any pictures for my bedroom. It's a private sanctuary. Mine.

And today, I made a resolution to have proper breakfast at home. Proper as in I could savor the food without any haste. While watching Oprah's rerun. And of course I did it. I survived 2nd January, no? Breakfast was a no-brainer. Koko Crunch pun jadi. With cold milk.

See? I don't have to go big on my resolutions. I take it one at a time. I don't do this-year-I'm-going-to-be-a-millionaire kinda resolutions. I'm realistic yo. I know my limits. And small as it may seem, me succeeding with my daily resolutions makes me a happy person.

On that note, I wish you all a very Happy New Year and hopefully, 2011 will be a much better year than previous years for you, you, you, you and of course, me.
