- They can also help your diet by making you feel full. This is because they absorb 10 times their weight in water, forming a bulky gel.
- They reduce food cravings by preventing some of the food that you eat from getting absorbed into your system.
- They are also great for athletes because the "chia gel" can hydrate the body.

hadiah kahwin
Macam aku, bila aku nak masak, aku guna blender, aku ingat kat tukang bagi, "Ni Suria bagi ni, alhamdulillah senang nak buat kerja." Secara tak langsungnya, kita tahu kita dah berjasa pada orang lain. Pahala tu weh. Serius. Bukan susah pun, ye dak? Itupun dah layak masuk it's the thought that counts.

you don't play-play with the first lady of malaysia

This tongue in cheek game takes Malaysian First Lady Rosmah Mansor's claim that she saved the money it took for a RM24.4 million diamond ring and turns it on it's head. As a somewhat familiar female figure, save as much money as it takes to gain an arsenal of Birkin bags, and ultimately, the holy grail of all rings.

KTM: the never-ending story
![]() |
| Source |
This kind of attitude pissed me off more than KTM's delay. People queued up for hours, along the correct line and you just come up, with your fucking innocent face and just stood there in the middle? Be thankful I didn't shove your ass off the platform, lady. Now all you people do not do this. Yes, I understand we're all trying to get somewhere as soon as possible, but this kind of attitude is a big NO-NO. Like I say, be considerate.

the facebook hoax
Hoax (hōks)Noun - something intended to deceive; deliberate trickery intended to gain an advantage
Bahasa Melayu - bang bang boom, kau dah kena tipu!
But I know that deep down inside, you're panicking like hell.
Alamak, macam mane dengan Farmville aku?But do you even stop for a while to T.H.I.N.K? Facebook is a multi-billion dollar business. Do you think they will ever shut down as long as they're generating billions of dollars? It's like saying Microsoft will stop producing more OS! Gasp! Unthinkable! Gilo ko apo?
Alamak, nanti kat ofis takde ape nak buat dah la!
Alamak, takleh la aku stalk mamat kacak pakai Ray Ban tu dah!
Alamak, takleh la nak buat untung beribu-ribu RM login Facebook dah!
TIDAAAAAKKKKK!!!
Use your God-given brain, people. And stop posting ridiculous statuses and tweets regarding Facebook's closure. Facebook is not closing down. I repeat, Facebook WILL.NOT.CLOSE.DOWN. Not on March 15th, not anytime soon. Okay? Cheer up. You won't lose your cows.
To all you Malaysian, please, don't be so fukken gullible, can? You guys believe just about anything people posted on the net. You can only trust 90% of what's being circulated in the Internet, don't you know about that? Smarten up a bit la. And do some research before you go around telling people that
Now excuse me while I go cook up a storm in World Cafe.

save the sharks
Do you know that an estimated 200 million sharks die every year due to being hunted, caught and finning activities? An estimated 100 million sharks are killed for their fins only. That means about 250,000 sharks die a day.
Finning, my friends, is the practice of hacking off the shark's fins using hot metal blade and throwing it back into the sea, alive. Now without the fins, sharks cannot move, thus resulting in death due to starvation, been eaten alive by other fish or they will drown (if they are not in constant movement their gills cannot extract oxygen from the water).
The finning is practiced due to high demand for the fins (obviously) for the shark fin soup which has been touted as the most impressive and exotic delicacy, especially in Asia. Ironically, the fins itself do not add any flavor to the soup (the broth is usually made from chicken stock) and they certainly do not have any added nutritional value. The fins only add texture to the soup. Such barbaric and inhumane way just to fill up the tummy and to show off class. Aren't we selfish?
Sharks are mighty predators, they are at the top of the underwater food chain. That does not make sharks our enemy at all. In fact, sharks are very important for our very own survival. You see, God does not create something for no reason at all. So how are sharks important to human beings survival?
- Being at the top of the food chain, sharks play an important role in the ecosystem by maintaining the species below them in the food chain and serving as an indicator for ocean health. They help remove the weak and the sick as well as keeping the balance with competitors helping to ensure species diversity. (Source)
- As predators, they shift their prey’s spatial habitat, which alters the feeding strategy and diets of other species. Through the spatial controls and abundance, sharks indirectly maintain the seagrass and coral reef habitats. The loss of sharks has led to the decline in coral reefs, seagrass beds and the loss of commercial fisheries. (Source)
- By taking sharks out of the coral reef ecosystem, the larger predatory fish, such as groupers, increase in abundance and feed on the herbivores. With less herbivores, macroalgae expands and coral can no longer compete, shifting the ecosystem to one of algae dominance, affecting the survival of the reef system. (Source)
- Now, do you know that 70% of the oxygen in our atmosphere is produced by phytoplankton? Sharks actually prevent the the overconsumption of the plankton by other fish, thereby moderating global warming. (Source)
For so long we've been 'forced' into believing that sharks are dangerous to human. They've been portrayed as having some sort of vendetta against the human race. Movies like Jaws and Deep Blue Sea incorporate that beliefs, which eventually lead us to believe that killing sharks is okay. It is not, I assure you.
The extinction of sharks will be the beginning of the end for us. The population of sharks decreased for over 90% for the last few years. This mass killing of sharks has got to be stopped pronto or we will face ecology imbalance which will harm the earth and will eventually harm the human race.
Before I end, here are some of the pictures of the gruesome 'murder':

There is no justification in killing this magnificent creature. None at all. Let's stop this ruthless killing once and for all. Stop eating/ordering/demanding the shark fin soup. Remember, one bowl of soup is just another step to our very own extinction, not just the sharks.

salam ramadhan
To all of you, my Muslim friends, I wish you
"May this Ramadhan be a blessed one for all of us."
And Suria's family will be in KL on the first Ramadhan. It's a very nice way to start Ramadhan; with family.
Now I can seriously focus on my diet. Err. I think.

oh ye of little faith!
And I chuckled to myself. I just thought that the results are just so freaking predictable. Really. And kudos to The Star's team. You'd thought that putting the boring ole "Yes" and "No" is enough, but they stretch it a bit by putting the "They are beyond rehabilitation" option. And naturally, that third option is by far, the most popular one.The poll, in my honest opinion, reflects just how much us Malaysians detest Mat Rempit. And how little faith we have to change or rehabilitate them. Personally, I can't comment much about the Mat Rempits but I do think that a number of them do went out of their way to break the law. It's like they found joy in doing so. There is a fine line between being rebellious and downright juvenile/criminal.
Now I'm not saying that all the Mat Rempit are bad, neither am I saying that all the crimes are caused by Mat Rempit but Mat Rempit does not exactly have rosy image either. Mention the word Mat Rempit and hundreds of negative words will come to mind. Drugs, free/random sex, the infamous bohjan and bohsia, illegal racing and not to mention snatch theft. And the saddest part of all is the fact that most of the Mat Rempits are Malay.
Oh, and before you ask which one I voted for, know this: Every vote is confidential. Hehehe!

orang malaysia kena cakap (bahasa) melayu
Wait. Does that mean UiTM is un-Malaysia(n)? Because as far as I know, all the subjects in UiTM (except CTU) are taught in English. How so very un-Malaysia(n) this UiTM. All those Malay/Bumiputra students, and English is the main language? Boycott UiTM students! Boo! Tak orang Malaysia la budak-budak UiTM ni! Buat malu je mengaku orang Melayu! Bangga sangat cakap bahasa penjajah. Oops. Did I just write in Bahasa Malaysia/Melayu? Orang Malaysia kena cakap Bahasa Melayu.
Even a certain minister once made a statement that speaking English in the workplace is "weird" and harmful to the nation's culture and identity. Oh wow. I guess I should just converse with my Russian boss in Malay. Who cares if he understand or not? The main point is I don't want to be accused of being a weirdo and polluting the nation's culture and identity. Polluting. Yeah. Big word there, ladies and gentlemen. Petronas should stop polluting the nation's culture and identity. MAS should do the same. And Air Asia, too. And all the 5-star hotels. Weirdos all of them. Boo!
Tell me again, between a Malay-only-speaking Malaysian graduate and Malay-and-English-speaking Malaysian graduate, who will you choose to work in your company? Right. The Star, New Straits Time and The Sun should be barred from publishing their newspapers. They are harmful to the nation's culture and identity. Orang Malaysia kena cakap Bahasa Melayu. Eh. Wait. I'm doing it right now. I'm polluting and harming the nation's culture and identity! Gasp. It's a blasphemy! Right, right.
'Bahasa penjajah' kononnya. Yang terkinja-kinja "Under my umbrella ella ella ella" tu tak pula dikatakan bahasa penjajah ya?
We're not the third world country. It's time we stop thinking like one. Or acting like one. Stop embarrassing yourself with idiotic statements like that. I'm a Malaysian. A proud Malaysian. I can speak Malay. A damn good one at that, too. I was born and raised in Malaysia by Malaysian parents and relatives. I'm so freaking Malaysian that a lawyer will die first before proving it otherwise. And speaking English does not make me a lesser Malaysian. And I certainly am not doing any pollution or harm to the nation's culture and identity. Maybe the minister should start coming up with less idiotic statements from now on.

I got both of those comments from PM's facebook. That triggered this entry. Those are your typical bahasa-Inggeris-bahasa-penjajah Malaysian. I bet they don't speak English at their workplace. And I bet their facebook's default language is Bahasa Melayu. And I bet they are not UiTM students. And I bet that no one else is as proud to be Malaysian as they are.

i didn't say it's your fault, i said i was blaming you
I'd say she's a smart woman. Atta girl! Not every women have the same courage to expose their own husbands' wrongdoings but this woman just make the world a bit more safer to the children and teenagers. But yet, one person doesn't seem to agree...

I think that he/she is brain-dead. What if his/her daughter is the victim to the husband? Would he/she be willing enough to "approach and discuss the issue"? I don't think so. No wonder the comment got her 633 red arrows. What a moronic comment. Seriously.
Moving on, I then saw this picture...
Can someone please tell me what in the world is Kristen Stewart wearing? She looks... words fail me, ladies and gentlemen. I am simply horrified with her outfit.
And Robert Pattinson looks like a drunk-and-10-days-without-showering version of Wolverine. As Edward Cullen he is stunning, but as himself? Bleargh. Get a shave, Rob. That scruffy I'm-a-bad-boy look does not work on you.
Yeah, it's meaningless but then again I don't feel up to anything at the moment. I just want to rant. And I think Nicole's going to be the winner of the Cycle 13 of America's Next Top Model.

it ain't broken, ain't it?
It can be so frigging frustrating to use facebook nowadays after their so-called update. Soon after the update was revealed, I had difficulties to sign into my account. I can't read message and I can't approve friend requests. And the most annoying part of it? The 'Live Feed' thingy. Seriously, do I need to know who my friends be friend with? Or which artist/organization they become fan of? Or which event they'll be attending? Do I really need to keep tab of their every single activity on facebook? No, morons! It's cluttering up the feed, you bozos!
The old facebook worked just fine for me. I was happy with it. It was simple. It was easy, breezy and beautiful (okay, too much ANTM there for me). Do we really need to add more clutter and complications to our lives? Come on, be practical. Yes, I know there are tutorials and manuals to manage the new facebook but do you really think that all the facebook-ers will read it? Don't bet your ass they will.
Even if I set my facebook accordingly, but my friends don't, what's the use? I'll still see the messy feed. I'll still see that 'Jane is now friends with Tom, Dick and Harry'. Do you have any idea at all how annoying can that be? It gives me the headache!
facebook was never broken in the first place. Then why oh why in the world should you go and fix it? You're not even fixing it. You're ruining facebook! I truly hate the new facebook. Now, it is broken. Fix it!

taking it up a notch higher
Here's a brief history about our national anthem I quoted directly from Wikipedia:
"Negaraku" (My Country) is the national anthem of Malaysia. "Negaraku" was selected as a national anthem at the time of the Federation of Malaya's independence from Britain in 1957. The tune was originally used as the state anthem of Perak, which was adopted from a popular French melody composed by the lyricist Pierre-Jean de Béranger.Notice any mention of Indonesia? I don't. The lyricist was born and died in Paris, France. Any Indonesian relations? Nope. None at all.
Again, I don't see any reference to Indonesia. So where the hell does this song-stealing allegation came from? As far as I'm concerned, both Indonesia and Malaysia plagiarized the song. What makes the Indonesians think that it is okay for them to do it but not us? And what, may I ask, is the actual agenda for the media in Indonesia to accuse us of such thing? The anthem was also recorded in c. 1936 by Conductor Paul Lambard (also known as Paul LOMBARD and His Orchestra), and sung by Joan Wilton (in English) duet with Geotti Brooke (in Malay) released by Columbia Records (Magic Notes series) in New South Wales, Australia; Carrying the song number (CT2763); Columbia Catalogue Reference D0-3460. The song runs 2:50. This record was found to be earlier than the recording of Felix Mendholsson's version of Mamula Moon as in the late 40's most songs are themed and modified to the Hawaiian tune and mainly was done by most famous orchestra conductors such as Victor Sylvester and Mantovani.
The significance of this piece of recording where it is only playable on gramophones running at speed 78 rpm is that the background music conducted so similarly to the Malayan style of music background, setting the originality and authentic Malayan atmosphere to the tune. The song was performed by non-natives (Australians) singing in both English and Malay. The lyrics present a love story setting between the two lovers. The song is titled as 'Malayan Moon' and the other side of the record is the song 'Planting Rice' also performed by Paul Lambard accompanied by Vocal Chorus by Joan Wilton. This piece of record was a copyright under Southern Music Co. of Sydney.
Here's a quote from The Jakarta Globe regarding the national anthem debacle:
An executive of Lokananta, a state recording company based in Solo has drawn attention to Malaysia’s national anthem, “Negaraku,” claiming that it is suspiciously similar in tune to “Terang Bulan,” a song written by the Bandung Ensemble and first recorded by Lokananta in March 1956 — a year before Malaysia’s independence was announced on Aug. 31, 1957.Well, hello, look up the freaking facts, you morons! The freaking "Terang Bulan" song was A.D.A.P.T.E.D from the song that was written by the Frenchman! Speaking of originality, where in the world could yours be?
And to top it all of, a bunch of
Today, Aug. 31, 2009, an uncreative country, a country who likes to steal Indonesian culture, a country whose citizen is the mastermind of bombings in Indonesia, a country who has tortured many of our sisters — the migrant workers who worked there, a country who abused our national anthem, a country who harassed Indonesia on the Internet, a country that has stolen Sipadan and Ligitan islands, a country which has trespassed our water illegally, a country which received their independence from Britain, is celebrating its anniversary. So very grown up, eh? Good citizens, eh? Maybe you people should just ask your so-called good citizens here in Malaysia to go back to your country. At least we Malaysians will feel a bit safer. Don't pretend like you don't know what I'm trying to say. Look into the mirror first before you start pointing out the ugliness of others.
As good Indonesian citizens, we will celebrate their independence in our own way. We are celebrating by undertaking a mass attack on the country’s Web sites.

yours, mine or ours?
First of all, let me clarify here that I do not know this 'pendet' dance at all. Yes, call me ignorant but since it's not part of our culture, why the hell should I care? I'm not nationalist enough, though, to actually search every freaking traditional dance there are in our country. I just only heard the word 'pendet' recently. It seems that Discovery TV network made a big mess with their telly commercial entitled "Enigmatic Malaysia". The commercial featured Balinese Pendet dance clip which caused the ruckus and uproar. Big mistake, Discovery.
The Indonesians are frothing over their mouth with the commercial and they run amok on Twitter, bashing the entire Malaysia nation. And of course, the Indonesian media had had a field day with this issue. This issue, I believe, is blown out of proportion. The Tourism Ministry denied any participation in the 30-seconds ad and scrambled to clarify things immediately. Discovery TV network admitted their mistake and send an official apology letter to the ministry. But the damage has been done, I'm afraid.
For long the Indonesians had been accusing us of stealing their 'culture'. We steal their batik. We steal their wayang. We steal their 'Rasa Sayang' song. Some Indonesians even claim Rafflesia arnoldi, the biggest flower species in the world, as belongings of Indonesia because it only lives in Sumatra province! However, according to the Singapore Library Board, the flower also lives in Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. We are thieves. Horror of all horrors. Right. What could be next, I wonder? Maybe Obefiend has better ideas.
I'm not even going to explain about batik or wayang or whatever else that Indonesians are claiming theirs. But they do kick up a lot of fuss about it, just like the Manohara issue. Boy, do they live up to their sinetron standard! And Discovery, better check your sources next time. By the way, I thought Riyadi Suparno summed it up pretty well in The Jakarta Post but being the cynic that I am, I do detect bits and pieces of sarcasm. And maybe; just maybe; he's poking fun at our tourism authorities/board/ministry. Who knows?

here, in my home
Pregnant woman dies after thieves pull her off motorcycle (6th May, 2009)
5-year old raped by 3 teenagers (7th May, 2009)
You people out there be careful all right? Keep your eyes open and your senses alert. And the same goes to me as well. Sometimes I can get so lost in my own world that I never really took notice of anything around me. This will serve as a reminder to me, and hopefully to you people.
*Given the chance to come face to face with the the snatch thieves, I will kick their groin really hard until they beg for their lives. What will you do?*
Until then, stay safe!
